Health & Safety Advisory

When engaging That Purple Lady, we will assume that parental consent has been obtained for all children to take part in our activities unless otherwise stated.

Remember... SAFETY FIRST!

Face paints are recommended for use on children aged three (3) and above. It is not advisable to paint full faces on children under 3 but we may, at our discretion, paint a simple small design at the parents own risk.

If a guest or child, has sensitive skin or known reactions to soaps, creams or dyes, please advise us so that we may perform a small patch test first. We will, however, not be liable for any adverse reaction to the paints. We will not paint anyone who is unwell or with a visible skin condition or disease, for example (and not limited to) chicken pox, cuts/abrasion, cold sores or eczema. Painting faces of persons with severe acne should also be avoided.

That Purple Lady artistic team shall reserve the right to refuse to paint anyone who presents themselves with the above symptoms or is abusive, violent or intoxicated.

Parents / guardians are to supervise their child while being painted at all times.

Our paints, inks, glitters and other cosmetic preparations are safe and specifically designed for use on human skin.

Removal of face paints can be done using water, mild soap and a clean towel. Baby shampoo is also excellent for removing paints from the face. Do note that certain colours such as red or black, may leave a slightly longer tinge to the skin than the others. Do not fret as this will usually fade within a day or so. We take every precaution not to get any paints on clothes but should a stain occur we recommend removing by soaking in cold water and using soap thereafter (That Purple Lady will not be held liable for any stains that cannot be removed).

Warning
Certain individuals may have allergic reactions to even the safest, non-toxic, hypoallergenic paints/cosmetics. If your guest or child shows any type of allergic reaction during the painting procedure (e.g. paleness, shortness of breath, difficulty in breathing, undue swelling, puffiness around the eyes) the painting session will be discontinued and emergency medical attention should be sought immediately.

Cheers,
That Purple Lady  xoxoxo
