Start of my Princess themed week with.... Cinderella!

I dread it everytime I'm being asked to draw figures... the human form.. as I am not fantastic at it. I am always getting the head/body ratio wrong and always ending up with the character having a bigger head. So this time, I'm going to challenge myself by painting some of the famous Disney princesses. Time to put that fear aside!

Despicable Me Minions Face Painting. BEE-DO! BEE-DO...! Whaaaat??

Who doesn't love the adorable rambunctious bunch of minions from Despicable Me? Here's my take on just one of them though! What do you guys think?

Angry Birds Face Painting

Another.... shall I say arm painting since they were not done on the face to be considered a face painting? I took my time painting these birdies due to my current limited paint selections (hint: need more funding!) and the very intricacies of painting the Angry Birds characters 100% freehand.

I received some comments from people who did not believe that I had painted these freehand and thought that these were stickers or that I had used some sort of template. Believe me, if I had known any shortcuts I would have done it. After painting the second birdie, the subsequent ones just got me more and more impatient and frustrated! 

So are there are any face painters out there who have painted the Angry Birds series for your young clients before? I couldn't see myself painting these on a very young and fidgety child. So share with me any helpful tips that may help me out here ok? Till next time!

I hope it's not too late to wish my Chinese readers and celebrants a Happy New Year of the Horse!

So on this very beautiful and auspicious day 02022014... I have decided to embark on my maiden post by talking about.... CUPCAKES!

Yes, I know this is a mostly face painting page. That will be coming in later. I promise.

Cupcakes. That delectably overrated mini piece of caloric confectionery that some of us ADORE to bits. (Read: ME) I had a recent run-in with cupcake gluttony overload over the new year. And as evident from the pictures here, That Purple Lady definitely never turn down a cupcake!

And in true That Purple Lady fashion, I just had to paint them too! See if you can spot your favourite cupcake.
